This program aims to provide a financial incentive to young singers under 30 years of age who are already working under contract to be able to remain at their “home” opera houses. This financial support in the form of a monthly scholarship assures young singers enough time little by little to acquire an individual repertoire. This opportunity to perform in different roles leads to additional experience on stage. Furthermore of particular importance for the scholarship holders is the possibility to concentrate their energies on studying with renowned teachers; study visits are facilitated as well. Besides the individual assistance to the singers, this program makes it possible for the music theatres to do long term planning with the available talents, which also leads to the formation of a stable ensemble. |
