The National Opera of Bucharest is a repertory theatre for opera and ballet. Since 1921, the National Theatre is the centre of music theatre in Bucharest. It has been in its present location since 1953 and has a seating capacity of 1000.

“Le Nozze di Figaro“ – the successful premiere in Bucharest and Timisoara

“Le nozze di Figaro” was the second opera of Mozart which was supported by CEE Musiktheater, after the performances of “The Magic Flute” in Skopje and Sofia. The finishing of the production was well timed with the end of the Mozart-year and shortly before the entry of Rumania to the EU.
